L. Vrsalović

Ladislav Vrsalović graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology at the University of Split, Croatia, in 1999. He was employed at the same faculty as a research associate in the Department of Electrochemistry and Materials Protection in July 2000. He received his MSCE in 2004 and PhD in 2008, and works as a full professor in the Department of Electrochemistry and Materials Protection at the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, University of Split.

He was Head of the Department of Electrochemistry and Materials Protection (2019.-2020.) and Head of Division of Engineering and Technologies (2020.-2023) at the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology.

Professor Vrsalović’s primary research interests relate to surface science, electrochemical processes, corrosion of various metals and alloys, and methods for corrosion protection of metals. He is also involved in the application of electrochemical methods in wastewater treatment. He has published 85 scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings, 35 of which are in journals listed in the WoS Core Collection database. He was a research scientist in five national scientific projects and several technological projects.

He peer-reviewed more than 80 scientific papers in international journals. As a member of the scientific team, he received a silver medal at the 16th International Exhibition of Innovators ARCA 2018 (Zagreb, Croatia) for the development of CuAlMn shape memory alloy and a bronze medal at the 17th International Exhibition of Innovators ARCA 2019 (Zagreb, Croatia) for the development of the production process of CuAlMn shape memory alloy wire.
