Zahid Amjad is a Visiting Professor at Walsh University.

Education: BSc (Honors), Panjab University, Lahore Pakistan. MSc., in Chemistry, Panjab University, Lahore Pakistan; PhD. in Chemistry, Glasgow University, Scotland, UK. Z. Amjad is currently employed at Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio and is also at Lubrizol Corporation, Wikliffe, Ohio as Technical Consultant.  He is the President at Aqua Science and Technology. He is a member of several professional associations and advisory boards. Z. Amjad has edited 8 books on mineral scales and deposits in biological and industrial systems scaling and inhibition, water treatment. He has 30 patents. He is the author of 150+ publications and 17 book chapters.

 

His areas of  scientific interest includes development of new chemical additives for industrial water treatment, desalination, oil and gas production, geothermal, pulp and paper, laundry, membrane cleaners; mechanisms of crystal growth and inhibition; adsorption of polymers at solid-liquid interface; removal of toxic materials from aqueous streams.
