It presents a review on the propagation of VCI vapors, VCI distribution in the volume being protected, and specifics of vapor-phase protection of isolated systems and systems interacting with the environment in various ways. The review is supplemented by the authors’ own theoretical materials.
Keywords: volatile corrosion inhibitors, protection conditions, mathematical models of vapor-phase protection
