Abstract: This review paper focuses on recent advancements in the use of thiadiazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors in hydrochloric acid solutions. The properties and effectiveness of thiadiazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors are discussed, including their molecular structure and mechanism of action. The paper also highlights the various applications of thiadiazole derivatives in controlling corrosion in various metal substrates in hydrochloric acid solutions, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys. The review also provides a comparative analysis of different thiadiazole derivatives, as well as their performance in comparison to traditional corrosion inhibitors. Overall, this review paper provides a comprehensive overview of the recent advances in the use of thiadiazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors in hydrochloric acid solutions, and their potential for future applications.
