Prof. Dr. Semra Bilgiç was born in Ankara. She completed her education at Chemical Engineering Department of Ankara University. The subject of her master thesis was about ”The Electrochemical Behavior of Gold Electrode in Citric Acid Solution”. Then, she did a PhD on ”The Electrochemical Properties of Gold Electrode in Some Organic Acids and Alcohols”. Currently, she is working as a Full Professor at Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Chemistry. Prof. Bilgiç, who is a founding member of Corrosion Association in Turkey, has been one of the two representatives of Turkey at ICC (International Corrosion Council) for a long time. Focusing her post-doctoral studies on corrosion and corrosion inhibitors. Prof. Dr. Bilgiç has many national and international publications and attended several congress communications and presentations.

Semra Bilgiç is an expert in Electrochemical Kinetics, Corrosion and Corrosion Inhibitors.
